Forecast: Mainly dry holiday weekend

Memorial Day weekend looks beautiful and problem free for much of Southwest Florida. The only exception to that will be across the interior, where occasional pop-up showers will be possible each afternoon starting Friday. Labor shortage crisis cripples some SWFL businesses

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A labor shortage crisis is crippling some businesses in Southwest Florida. Simply put, there are more jobs than workers. Some people are blaming that on the $1,200 a month in federal unemployment that is set to end. 3-acre brush fire sparks in Golden Gate Estates

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A 3 acre brush fire sparked on 24th Avenue near DeSoto Boulevard in Golden Gate Estates on Thursday. The Florida Forest Service and Greater Naples fire units are responding to the fire. FFS officials have confirmed it is currently 90 percent contained. Crews are working to put water on the fire. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is also assisting fire crews. No evacuations are in place near this brush fire. This is a developing story.
