Bystanders rescue man from drowning at Florida beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. [AP] – Bystanders saved a man from drowning at a Florida beach on Sunday, authorities said. The 22-year-old man went into the water alone on Daytona Beach before the lifeguard tower opened, according to Capt. A.J. Miller, a spokesman for Volusia County Beach Safety. “After struggling in the surf, witnesses stated they observed him go under the water,” Miller said in a statement given to the Orlando Sentinel. Naples man in critical condition after slamming motorcycle into mailbox

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 26-year-old Naples man suffered critical injuries after hitting a mailbox on his motorcycle on Sunday, May 23. The man was heading west on 27th Avenue Northeast, just west of Everglades Boulevard just before 4:30 p.m. when he rode into a mailbox and flipped, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said. Cape Coral woman accused of crashing car into home

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A Cape Coral woman is accused of crashing into a Cape Coral home Saturday morning.
