Charlotte County boy burned by scalding hot water flown to hospital

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – An 18-month-old boy was flown to a Tampa hospital after being burned by scalding hot water in Charlotte County.

The incident happened around 11:40 a.m. Thursday at a Rotonda West home on Broadmore Lane, according to Charlotte County Fire and EMS.

The child had second-degree burns on his right shoulder and back.

The child was in stable condition and flown to Tampa General Hospital.
