Cyclist & SUV collide in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A SUV and a bicyclist crashed on SW 3rd Street in Cape Coral Wednesday morning.

NBC2 crews arrived to the scene near Nicholas Parkway and saw an SUV and bicycle at the scene of the crash.

Officers with the Cape Coral Police Department are investigating the crash. The bicyclist was injured, but is expected to survive, police said.

SW 3rd street was shut down as officers worked the crash.
