Forecast: Friday front brings lower humidity, cooler mornings
A weak front is moving through Southwest Florida this morning, bringing us some drier air and cooler nights heading into Mother’s Day weekend.
Starting off your Friday morning, it’s another warm start, and you won’t really notice the drop in humidity and temperatures until this evening.
A few spotty, fast-moving showers will be possible this morning as the front slides through the area, but don’t get your hopes up for much rain with this front. Most areas will end up staying dry.
This afternoon will be sunny and very warm with highs near 90 during the heat of the day.
Tonight’s forecast will be delightful and perfect for getting outdoors.
The lower humidity and northwesterly breeze will keep our evening temperatures in the mid 70s, and then Saturday morning’s lows will drop all the way into the low to mid 60s near the coast with some upper 50s inland.
Mother’s Day weekend will still feature some pretty hot weather during the afternoon with highs bouncing back into the lower 90s behind the front, but the drier air will make the air feeling more tolerable.
A few spotty afternoon showers will be possible on Mother’s Day, but rain chances will only be around 20%, so the weekend is shaping up nicely if you want to spend time with mom outdoors.
