Lightning look to close out the Cats in Game 5
SUNRISE, Fla. / NHL — The Tampa Bay Lightning are looking to clinch the first round of the NHL Playoffs against the Florida Panthers tonight, May 24.
On Saturday, the Bolts overcame the Cats 6 – 2 on home ice. Alex Killorn scored a team-high two goals for the Lightning in the victory.
The Lightning have never lost a playoff series when owning a 3-1 lead, winning all 10 previous playoff series when up 3-1 and ending the series in Game 5 in seven of those situations.
Tampa Bay takes on the Cats in Game 5 at the BB&T Center at 8 p.m. Tampa Bay leads the series 3-1.
Capacity at the BB&T Center will be increased to allow nearly 75% capacity inside the arena for Game 5.
If needed, the teams will meet up in Tampa for Game 6 on Wednesday.
