Rescue crews rush to extinguish Fort Myers fire

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Fire crews responded to a structure that erupted in flames off of Alico Road early Wednesday morning.

The blaze ignited around 3:40 a.m.

NBC2 crews saw a pick-up truck with fire damage to the grill of the vehicle at the scene of the fire.

It’s unclear what caused the flames or if anyone was inside the structure when the fire broke out.
