WASHINGTON — Airports saw the most people to pass through security since the start of the coronavirus pandemic on Thursday, officials said.
A spokesperson for the Transportation Security Administration said that 1,644,050 people went through TSA on May 6.
The record for travel in the COVID-19 era is still a far cry from ‘normal.’ On the same day in 2019, around 2,555,000 people were screened.
“Please continue to wear a mask,” the spokesperson said.
