CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A skateboarder caused over $3,500 in damages at a Charlotte County Catholic school. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputies are trying to identify the skateboarder. The person appears to be a white man with a large tattoo across his upper back and another tattoo on his upper chest. Anyone with information can contact CCSO’s non-emergency line at (941) 639-0013. Man in custody after shooting at Charlotte County RV park

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A man is in custody after a shooting at a Charlotte County RV park early Saturday morning. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said James W. Grisham was placed in cuffs after they responded to the shooting at Harbor Lakes RV Resort, 3737 El Jobean Road. The gunshot call came in at 12:06 a.m. Two citizens in the RV park who saw Grisham with a gun held him down until Charlotte County deputies arrived on scene. Man dies after construction accident at Charlotte County marina

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A 53-year old man died after a construction accident Friday morning off of Boca Grande Causeway in Charlotte County. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they were conducting a death investigation after the incident around 9:25 a.m. at Eldred’s Marina, 6301 Boca Grande Causeway. Team of Charlotte County detectives take on cold case murders

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – Once a murder case goes cold it can be nearly impossible to solve. But the three-man team in Charlotte county said they’ll talk to anyone and go anywhere to find answers. Mike Vogel and Mike Gandy work cold cases. Back in 2009, they and their third partner were assigned 18 cases. Now, they’re down to 15. One injured in shooting near Englewood restaurant

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was injured in a shooting at 2045 N. Beach Road on Saturday night, officials said. Deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting near the Lock ‘N Key Restaurant in Englewood. One person was injured in the shooting and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, deputies said. The other person involved in the shooting waited on the scene for law enforcement to arrive. Pedestrian hit by dump truck in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A Port Charlotte man was killed after being hit by a dump truck on Cochran Boulevard near US 41 Saturday afternoon. The 74-year-old pedestrian was riding a motorized tricycle when the crash happened, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The dump truck, driven by a 42-year-old Port Charlotte man, was going west on Cochran Boulevard, approaching a green traffic signal at the intersection. Deputies investigate early morning Port Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A car was shot at early Saturday morning on Fleetwood Drive and Joplin Avenue in Port Charlotte. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said they were investigating the shooting after it was reported around 4:40 a.m. in the Murdock area. A car was hit by bullets, and after talking with witnesses, Charlotte County deputies said they believe it was a directed incident.
