NAPLES, Fla. – Two people were seriously injured in a crash on Pine Ridge Road near I-75 in Naples Thursday evening. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said four cars were involved in the crash. The westbound inside lane is blocked, according to troopers on scene. Witnesses said two people were flown to the hospital after the crash. FHP said the crash is still under investigation. Car thief speeding down McGregor Blvd flips stolen vehicle in overnight crash

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The driver in a stolen Infiniti Q4 left the scene of a crash he caused early Wednesday morning, officials said. Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department said that the driver was speeding eastbound from McGregor Boulevard to Colonial Boulevard and hit a curb, took out some trees, and landed in the westbound lanes of Colonial Boulevard. FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — A car that slammed into a fire hydrant caused a major water leak on Fort Myers Beach on Memorial Day, officials said. The flooding stopped both directions of traffic near the Big Carlos Pass on Estero Boulevard for over half an hour. Some people were seen getting out of their cars while waiting on the bridge. FORT MYERS, Fla. – Seven children and four adults were injured in a crash on US 41 near Island Park Road in Fort Myers. The South Trail Fire Department confirmed everyone injured in the crash is being taken to local hospitals. CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — About 22 Punta Gorda homes had to be evacuated after a car crash on US 41 damaged a gas line Wednesday night, officials said. Two cars collided on US 41 near Acline Road around 8:30 p.m. A car involved in the crash swerved off the road and ran over a pressurized natural gas main. COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 65-year-old Naples man is in critical condition after an accident while teaching his son how to drive, officials said. The man was teaching his 34-year-old son from Colombia how to drive, specifically how to park, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said. BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – A bear was hit and killed on northbound I-75 near Bonita Beach Road on Friday morning. Officials could be seen pulling the bear to the side of the road.
