Man killed in early morning Fort Myers shooting
FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man was shot and killed inside a car off of Royal Palm Avenue in Fort Myers just after midnight on Tuesday, officials said. Shot spotters in the area detected a gunshot in the area of Franklin Street and Central Avenue, police with the Fort Myers Police Department said. Officers are investigating at 2475 Central Avenue. The man that was shot died at the scene and the suspect is on the run, police said.
