Collier County schools will not require students to be vaccinated for COVID- 19

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County Public Schools will not require students to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. CCPS posted a statement saying “whether or not to vaccinate a child for COVID-19 is the decision of the child’s parents.” This policy does not extend to other vaccines which are mandated by the state of Florida for students to attend public school. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health will no longer release daily COVID-19 data. State officials said Florida is transitioning into the next phase of the COVID-19 response.
