Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Nikki Fried has joined the governor’s race. According to the Florida Department of State, Fried filed for candidacy on June 1 for the 2022 General Election. Fried, who is a Democrat, has long been hinting at running for governor and has been one of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis’ fiercest critics.
