FORT MYERS, Fla. — Those having a hard time paying for your prescription medicines may need to head north.
Canadian versions of popular name-brand prescriptions could save someone hundreds, even thousands of dollars a month.
“There are some pharmaceuticals that people have heard about from TV commercials, things like Crestor for cholesterol or Humira for arthritis and Crohn’s,” FGCU professor Victor Claar said. “In the United States [they] are about three times more expensive as they are in Canada.”
