IMMOKALEE, Fla. – Investigators are asking for information on an unsolved Collier County murder from nearly 18 years ago. According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, the body of Catalina Lechuga was found near Rose Avenue and East Delaware Avenue in Immokalee in 2003. A deputy with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office discovered the 39-year-old’s body in a wooded-area after they were flagged down by someone who found the body, officials said. Faux fence workers try to burglarize home by distracting people inside

SARASOTA, Fla. — Detectives are looking into a suspected home invasion attempt that happened on Monday in Sarasota. Around 4:30 p.m., a resident of West Royal Flamingo Drive said they saw a man wearing a baseball hat, mask, and a white long-sleeved shirt carrying a walkie-talkie. Man steals credit card, spends $1,400 in Lee County stores

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A man stole someone’s credit card and spent over $1,400 at a local gas station and Walmart on Wednesday. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said they are looking for the man involved in the credit card fraud and grant theft case. The suspect stole the victim’s credit card at an Olive Garden in Cape Coral. Crime Stoppers said fraudulent transactions were made at RaceTrac in North Fort Myers and the Walmart on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres.
