CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Surveillance cameras caught two candle thieves stealing 3-wick candles from a retail store in Charlotte County. Neighbors catch Cape Coral plywood thief red-handed

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – One man’s attempt to steal plywood from a home construction site, didn’t go so well after being caught by a couple driving by. “We know it’s a hot commodity right now plywood’s like Gold!” said Debbie Cooper. Man steals credit card, spends $1,400 in Lee County stores

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A man stole someone’s credit card and spent over $1,400 at a local gas station and Walmart on Wednesday. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said they are looking for the man involved in the credit card fraud and grant theft case. The suspect stole the victim’s credit card at an Olive Garden in Cape Coral. Crime Stoppers said fraudulent transactions were made at RaceTrac in North Fort Myers and the Walmart on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres. 14 large lizards worth $35K stolen from Punta Gorda reptile breeding facility

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Fourteen large lizards were stolen from a Punta Gorda reptile facility on Monday night, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The lizards, called tegus, were stolen between 11:15 p.m. – 11:35 p.m. and are worth around $35,000 combined, said Jesse Hardin, the owner of Jesse’s Jungle. Some of the reptiles measure up to 5-feet in length, like Hellboy, who is 56 inches long. Six of the tegus taken were females who are ready to lay eggs — one of them was stolen while she was in the middle of laying eggs, Hardin said....
