Cape Coral man thrown from car killed when vehicle flips on top of him

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A 57-year-old Cape Coral man died in a single-car crash on Diplomat Parkway east on Thursday, officials said. Officers with the Cape Coral Police Department arrived at the crash around 3:40 p.m. Humberto Munoz was speeding down Diplomat Parkway and was headed towards a curve in the road, a witness who saw the crash said. Driver seriously injured after dump truck flips on SR 82 in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A driver was seriously injured after a dump truck hauling gravel flipped on SR 82 in Collier County Thursday morning. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed SR 82 is closed in both directions near Gator Slough Road due to the rollover crash. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and said troopers believe the dump truck was the one vehicle involved. Two injured in four-car crash on Daniels Parkway

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Four vehicles, including a school bus, collided on Daniels Parkway near Palomino Lane on Wednesday morning. A box truck, van, SUV, and school bus were involved in the crash that briefly shut down eastbound traffic on Daniels Parkway. One lane of Daniels Parkway has been reopened. The driver of the van was seriously injured and the SUV driver was also injured. Both were taken to a nearby hospital. No children were on the bus at the time of the crash. Edison & Ford Winter Estates propose pedestrian safety measures for McGregor Blvd

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Edison and Ford Winter Estates sent a 17-page letter to the City of Fort Myers to keep pedestrians safe while crossing McGregor Blvd.  “The Edison has requested several issues to be considered. Rescue crews respond to Fort Myers school bus crash

FORT MYERS, Fla. — At least one person was injured in a crash involving a school bus on Edison Avenue near Veronica S Shoemaker Avenue Friday morning, officials said.
