COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — At least one person was injured in a crash on Interstate 75 in Collier County on Thursday night, officials said. Deputies with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and rescue crews with the Greater Naples Fire Rescue responded to the crash near mile marker 107 on southbound I-75 just after 11 p.m. The driver ran from the crash scene and was later found at a Chase Bank in the Crossroads Market Plaza not too far from the crash. LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. — At least one person was injured when a sport utility vehicle crashed into a canal in Lehigh Acres early Friday morning. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash. NBC2 crews at the scene said the SUV that crashed into a canal near Sunshine Boulevard North and Nancy Drive was sinking into the water and had bubbles coming up from under the vehicle. The SUV was headed the wrong direction on Sunshine Boulevard before it ended up in the canal and at least one person was injured, troopers said. Pickup truck bursts into flames on Cape Coral roadway

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Fire crews were able to contain a vehicle fire that stopped all southbound traffic on Del Prado Boulevard on Monday evening. The fire erupted around 4:30 p.m. and rescue crews rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire with foam. Firefighting foam is a blanketing and cooling agent that not only extinguishes flames, but also minimizes chemical vapors that firefighters come in contact with while on the job. Naples man in critical condition after slamming motorcycle into mailbox

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 26-year-old Naples man suffered critical injuries after hitting a mailbox on his motorcycle on Sunday, May 23. The man was heading west on 27th Avenue Northeast, just west of Everglades Boulevard just before 4:30 p.m. when he rode into a mailbox and flipped, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol said.
