Technical error briefly delays American Airlines travelers
FORT WORTH, Tx. — People traveling with American Airlines early Friday morning were met with major delays due to a downed system.

The company in charge of American Airlines’ technical system, Sabre Corporation, said they experienced an issue that impacted multiple airlines, including American.
Sabre Corporation is a travel technology company based in Southlake, Texas. It is the largest global distribution systems provider for air bookings in North America. American Airlines founded the company in 1960, and it was spun off in 2000.
A spokesperson said that the technical issue has been resolved and apologized to customers for the inconvenience it caused them.
