Family discovers their car was stolen from a North Fort Myers Walmart parking lot

FORT MYERS, Fla.–A North Fort Myers family said their Kia SUV was stolen at a Walmart on Wednesday afternoon.

The Stratton’s were walking out of Walmart when they found out that their vehicle was gone.

“In my head, I was hoping ‘Well maybe somebody played a prank and maybe moved it’”, explained Adam Stratton.

After multiple trips around the Walmart parking lot, the reality of the stolen car set it.

“Then you try to figure out, ‘Well how is my wife gunna get to work?’ It’s her work vehicle, I work from home but I work at the food market so how am I going to work,” said Stratton.

The black Kia SUV was a gift from both of the young couples parents and has been their only mode of transportation for the past 3 years.

The Stratton’s are just hoping whoever stole the car will come clean.

“Just leave it somewhere where we can find it. That would be great. If they needed a ride, we’d be happy to give them a ride somewhere. That’s the kind of people we are,” shared Stratton.

The Stratton family wanted to emphasize that if anyone has tips regarding this incident, to please contact LCSO.
