Collier County schools will not require students to be vaccinated for COVID- 19

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier County Public Schools will not require students to receive the COVID-19 vaccination. CCPS posted a statement saying “whether or not to vaccinate a child for COVID-19 is the decision of the child’s parents.” This policy does not extend to other vaccines which are mandated by the state of Florida for students to attend public school. Collier County schools to make face masks optional for students

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Collier County students will have the choice to wear a mask at school starting this Summer. Collier County Public Schools will vote Tuesday to approve a resolution that starting this Summer, students will have the option to wear a face mask. Over 3,000 seniors graduate in-person in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Over 3,000 seniors across eight Collier County Public Schools graduated at in-person ceremonies Friday morning. Each student was given four tickets, two for floor seating, the other two on bleachers. This year, ceremonies for all eight schools were also streamed online. Graduates were given caps, gowns, and masks reading “Class of 2021.” The school district decided to cancel proms this year, leaving many to wonder whether graduations were going to follow suit.
