ENGLEWOOD, Fla. – A mobile home in Englewood was ablaze on Tuesday morning, according to the Englewood Area Fire Control District. The fire was fully involved when crews arrived at the scene on Winchester Avenue, officials said. The home was unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured in the fire, crews said. One injured in shooting near Englewood restaurant

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was injured in a shooting at 2045 N. Beach Road on Saturday night, officials said. Deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting near the Lock ‘N Key Restaurant in Englewood. One person was injured in the shooting and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, deputies said. The other person involved in the shooting waited on the scene for law enforcement to arrive. CCSO deputies are investigating the shooting. Additional information about the shooting or the identities of those involved are not known....
