FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – An electrical hazard caused a small home fire on Dundee Road in Fort Myers Beach on Wednesday, officials said. Crews responded to the home at 10:30 a.m. to respond to the hazard, which ended up being a fire, according to the Fort Myers Beach Fire Department. The home sustained minimal damage because of a Residential Fire Sprinkler System the owners installed during a home renovation a few years back, crews said. Driver slams into fire hydrant, causing flooding & delays on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — A car that slammed into a fire hydrant caused a major water leak on Fort Myers Beach on Memorial Day, officials said. The flooding stopped both directions of traffic near the Big Carlos Pass on Estero Boulevard for over half an hour. Some people were seen getting out of their cars while waiting on the bridge. FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – A large fight on Fort Myers Beach led to one shot being fired Monday afternoon, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. During a busy Memorial Day celebration on the beach, multiple people began fighting on the beachside of Avenue C before a shot rang out, deputies said.
