FORT MYERS, Fla. – Authorities are searching for a man who stole thousands worth of electronics from the same Fort Myers Target store at least two times in May. The man pictured stole electronics from the Target at Gulf Coast Town Center on May 15 and again on May 24, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers. On May 15 the suspect made off with $1,157 worth of electronics while sporting a blue polo. FDLE will announce the results of Operation “Thou Shalt Not Steal” involving a theft ring charged with stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars in church donations throughout the United States. NORTH PORT, Fla. – A burn ban was issued for the City of North Port Wednesday afternoon. City officials said the Fire Chief for the City of North Port has determined that an “Extraordinary Fire Hazard” now exists due to the extreme drought conditions and the threat of wildfire. Effective immediately, the Outdoor Burn Ban is enacted within city limits. The Outdoor Burning Ban will be in place until city officials rescind it. The citywide burn ban prohibits all outdoor burning that has not been specifically permitted by the Florida Forest Service, according to city officials....

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Cape Coral police are searching for a man who used someone’s bank information to steal $700. The Cape Coral Police Department said the suspect used compromised bank information to steal from a victim using an ATM at Wells Fargo, 1608 Cape Coral Parkway West. The incident happened on March 19. Now, CCPD is trying to identify the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call CCPD at (239) 574-3223 in reference to case #21-006381.

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — First responders helped revive a 51-year-old lawn maintenance worker who nearly drowned in a Naples lake on Tuesday morning, officials said. Deputies with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a near-drowning in a lake off of Ivy Point Court in Pelican Marsh, a CCSO spokesperson said. Witnesses said that the worker was cutting grass on a steep incline when the mower tipped over into the lake, trapping the man underwater.
