Cape Coral man thrown from car killed when vehicle flips on top of him

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A 57-year-old Cape Coral man died in a single-car crash on Diplomat Parkway east on Thursday, officials said. Officers with the Cape Coral Police Department arrived at the crash around 3:40 p.m. Humberto Munoz was speeding down Diplomat Parkway and was headed towards a curve in the road, a witness who saw the crash said. Lee County officials to accept millions for homelessness relief

Homicide investigation underway after missing Florida woman’s body found burning

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – The body of a missing Hillsborough County woman in her 30s was found burning in the woods near the Sunshine Skyway bridge Wednesday night.
