The man who found it said it didn’t look like the gator was attacked by another animal. It looked like the gator was cut with a sharp object like a knife. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Santa Barbra Centre on Hancock Bridge Parkway sometime between late Friday and early Saturday, investigators said. FORT MYERS, Fla. – A fire ripped through an SUV at a Fort Myers gas station Sunday afternoon. Fire crews responded to the blaze just after 1 p.m. at the RaceTrac gas station at 5150 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Fort Myers Police Department.
The SUV was engulfed in flames when crews arrived but was away from gas pumps and not threatening any buildings, officials said. Investigators did not say how the fire sparked. The flames were quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
