CAPE CORAL, Fla. — It started with just six flags, and now the display stretches for several blocks on Cape Coral Parkway with 900 flags. Baby gator found with head & tail cut off in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Neighbors in North West Cape Coral found a baby gator floating in the canal with its head and tail cut off. The man who found it said it didn’t look like the gator was attacked by another animal. It looked like the gator was cut with a sharp object like a knife. One injured in Cape Coral shooting

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – One person was injured in a shooting over the weekend, according to the Cape Coral Police Department. The shooting happened in the parking lot of the Santa Barbra Centre on Hancock Bridge Parkway sometime between late Friday and early Saturday, investigators said. (AP) — After years of fighting and litigation over who can include “Orlando” in the name of their central Florida airport, Orlando International Airport officials and Orlando Melbourne International Airport officials have tentatively agreed that Orlando Melbourne International Airport will change its name to Melbourne Orlando International Airport. Fire tears through SUV at Fort Myers gas station

FORT MYERS, Fla. – A fire ripped through an SUV at a Fort Myers gas station Sunday afternoon. Fire crews responded to the blaze just after 1 p.m. at the RaceTrac gas station at 5150 Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the Fort Myers Police Department. The SUV was engulfed in flames when crews arrived but was away from gas pumps and not threatening any buildings, officials said. Investigators did not say how the fire sparked.
