FORT MYERS, Fla. — Gas prices in Florida on Memorial Day averages $2.86 per gallon. Although the state average was higher than the last two years, it was 5 cents less than what drivers paid in Florida during the 2018 holiday weekend. Former Southwest Airlines pilot sentenced for undressing, watching porn during flight

CNN – A former pilot for Southwest Airlines was sentenced to one year of probation last week after pleading guilty to a lewd, indecent, or obscene act during a flight he was piloting last summer, according to a news release from the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland. CNN –  The Curiosity rover spied colorful shining clouds on Mars as it trekked the planet’s terrain. Major US meat producer suffers weekend cyber attack

CNN – Meat producer JBS USA was underwent a cyber attack on Sunday, according to officials. Driver slams into fire hydrant, causing flooding & delays on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — A car that slammed into a fire hydrant caused a major water leak on Fort Myers Beach on Memorial Day, officials said. The flooding stopped both directions of traffic near the Big Carlos Pass on Estero Boulevard for over half an hour. Some people were seen getting out of their cars while waiting on the bridge. Man killed in early morning Fort Myers shooting

FORT MYERS, Fla. — A man was shot and killed inside a car off of Royal Palm Avenue in Fort Myers just after midnight on Tuesday, officials said. Shot spotters in the area detected a gunshot in the area of Franklin Street and Central Avenue, police with the Fort Myers Police Department said. Officers are investigating at 2475 Central Avenue. The man that was shot died at the scene and the suspect is on the run, police said. Deputies investigate shooting on Fort Myers Beach

FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. – A large fight on Fort Myers Beach led to one shot being fired Monday afternoon, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
