Missing Bengal tiger found safe and in good health

HOUSTON, Tx. / CNN — A Bengal tiger that went missing after a bizarre incident in Houston last week “has been found and appears to be unharmed,” Houston police announced Saturday night. Houston Police Commander Ron Borza said in a Saturday night news conference Victor Hugo Cuevas and his wife Gia are the owners of the tiger. One injured in shooting near Englewood restaurant

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — One person was injured in a shooting at 2045 N. Beach Road on Saturday night, officials said. Deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting near the Lock ‘N Key Restaurant in Englewood. Delaware State University is canceling more than $700,000 in student loans for recent graduates hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic. Pedestrian hit by dump truck in Charlotte County

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A Port Charlotte man was killed after being hit by a dump truck on Cochran Boulevard near US 41 Saturday afternoon. The 74-year-old pedestrian was riding a motorized tricycle when the crash happened, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The dump truck, driven by a 42-year-old Port Charlotte man, was going west on Cochran Boulevard, approaching a green traffic signal at the intersection.
