COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A 23-year-old Immokalee woman is dead and two others are injured after a Monday morning crash on State Road 29, officials said. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the crash on SR-29, about three miles north of County Road 858, just after 6 a.m. The 23-year-old Immokalee woman was driving north on SR-29 with an 18-year-old Immokalee teen. CNN – After a decade of pleas from loyal Burger King customers, the fast-food chain is bringing back crown-shaped chicken nuggets. The “fan favorite” nuggets were removed from menus in 2011. Help rename LCSO’s adorable new member of the animal cruelty task force

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputy Chance has a sister! The Lee County Sheriff’s Office introduced its newest and most adorable member of the animal cruelty task force on Monday during a Facebook Live. Formerly named Sky, the dog was rescued and rehabilitated at the Gulf Coast Humane Society and then taken in by LCSO. Because of the conditions that the dog was living in, she had to have one of her legs amputated. Now, the sheriff’s office is asking the community for help in renaming her. Skydiver dies after mid-air collision in Florida

DELAND, Fla. – A skydiver died after colliding with another skydiver in DeLand on Sunday, police said. At around 10 a.m., officials were called to the  DeLand Municipal Airport for a skydiving accident. Police said two skydivers collided while their parachutes were open. Witnesses told police that one of the skydivers was able to regain control, but the other was unable to reopen his. The man landed in the parking lot and was found unresponsive. CDC official on mask-wearing: Unvaccinated people need to be honest with themselves

WASHINGTON / CNN — The director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday that people have to be honest with themselves when deciding whether to wear a mask after the agency lifted requirements for vaccinated people. Body of missing teen found in Miami, police suspect foul play

MIAMI, Fla. [NBC6] – Police are investigating a death after the body of a missing 16-year-old girl was found on Sunday evening. Family members identified the teen as Dayana Gomez Sanchez. City of Miami police officers were dispatched at around 5:20 p.m. to the 1200 block of Northeast 79th Street, near Pelican Harbor Marina, where they found the body.
