Multistate salmonella outbreak tied to backyard chickens, CDC says

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is investigating a multistate outbreak of salmonella infections that are linked to backyard chickens. On Thursday, the health agency said that a total of 163 people were infected across 43 states, including one person in Florida. Health officials said the total number of infected people is “likely much higher.” Illnesses started around Feb. 12, 2021, through April 25, 2021, the CDC said. Religious flag burned, mosque vandalized with pro-Trump graffiti

LONG ISLAND, New York / CNN — Police on Long Island are looking for whoever is responsible for vandalizing a mosque, burning a sacred flag and spray painting pro-Trump graffiti on it’s marble base. It happened around 2 a.m. Monday at the Islamic Center of Suffolk County on 3rd Street in Brentwood. FDA: Pfizer vaccine can be stored at standard fridge temperatures up to 1 month

The FDA has authorized the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine to be stored at standard refrigerator temperatures for up to one month, expanding the availability of the vaccine to doctors’ offices. Since Pfizer is the only vaccine authorized for 12-17 years olds so far, it will allow more reasonable storage for pediatrician offices. And so it begins! The NBC2 First Alert Hurricane Team is tracking the first area of interest in the Atlantic Basin for the 2021 Hurricane Season, less than two weeks before the official start. NBC NEWS— President and First Lady Biden released their 2020 tax returns on Monday. In a statement announcing their release, the White House said Biden was “continuing an almost uninterrupted tradition.” The statement noted that Biden has now released 23 years of his tax returns, NBC News reported.
