Cyclist & SUV collide in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A SUV and a bicyclist crashed on SW 3rd Street in Cape Coral Wednesday morning. NBC2 crews arrived to the scene near Nicholas Parkway and saw an SUV and bicycle at the scene of the crash. Officers with the Cape Coral Police Department are investigating the crash. Fire crews respond to Corkscrew Elementary School

NAPLES, Fla. — Rescue crews responded to Corkscrew Elementary School on Wednesday morning after reports of a fire. The fire crews were dispatched to 1065 Oil Well Road in Naples just before 7:30 a.m. It’s not known what caused the fire or the extent of damages. LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A 30-year-old Labelle man died in a two car crash on Buckingham Road on Tuesday evening, officials said. Car thief speeding down McGregor Blvd flips stolen vehicle in overnight crash

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The driver in a stolen Infiniti Q4 left the scene of a crash he caused early Wednesday morning, officials said. Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department said that the driver was speeding eastbound from McGregor Boulevard to Colonial Boulevard and hit a curb, took out some trees, and landed in the westbound lanes of Colonial Boulevard.
