Forecast: Still waiting on rain? More storms on the way Wednesday

If you’re still waiting to get some rain to water your parched lawns after the long dry season, hang in there! There’s more rain and storms back in the forecast today.

However, some of us will get soaked while others stay completely dry, which is just the nature of the beast as we get in the rainy season.

For the morning hours, expect another dry and sunny start with temperatures warming into the upper 80s by noon and daytime highs pushing into the lower 90s before the rain cools some of us off this afternoon.

Today’s storms will favor locations close to the coast like Naples, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers, Cape Coral as well as western portions of Charlotte County.

The main time frame for rain will be from 2pm-7pm today, and the storms will move from east to west toward the gulf.

The weather pattern changes very little over the next several days and into the upcoming weekend with generally dry, sunny mornings followed by our daily afternoon downpours and storms.

Temperatures will top out near 90 each afternoon with morning lows in the mid 70s.

In the tropics, all is quiet across the Atlantic basin, and no tropical development is expected in the next five days.
