Naples firefighter receive ‘thank you’ notes from residents

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– Collier firefighters have been busy protecting their community, over the last week.

A massive brush fire tore through Golden Gate estates, reaching 1,500 acres at it’s peak.

Two homes were destroyed in the blaze and two more were damaged.

Members of the community have sent officials ‘thank you’ notes to express their gratitude for their service.

Greater Naples Fire joined in the appreciation, posting on social media, “our hearts are full of gratitude for all the agencies who have helped save life and property from the 14th Ave fire!”

The most recent update from the Florida Forest Service shows the fire is at 75% containment.
