City of Cape Coral discussing plan to prevent blue-green algae in waterways

CAPE CORAL, Fla.– The City of Cape Coral is continuing to work on preventing blue-green algae in Cape Coral waterways. The City’s plan will reactivate the bubble curtain in the Mandolin Canal, adding additional bubble curtains in priority canals. At least 9 Fort Myers auto shops burglarized between May and June

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Nine auto dealerships and repair shops have been targeted in the West District of the City of Fort Myers between May 1 and June 1, according to police. More than 20 vehicles were burglarized and two cars were stolen. Several businesses along Fowler Street and Cleveland Avenue have reported stolen cars and burglaries, like RNS Automotive, which was hit on May 21. Miami man found guilty of running red light, killing North Fort Myers woman

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A Miami man was found guilty of vehicular homicide on Thursday, according to the State Attorney’s Office. On June 27, 2018, 33-year-old Yosbel Regalado Fernandez ran a red light and slammed into another car. The light had already been red for seven seconds when Fernandez drove a tractor-trailer through the US-41 intersection, officials said. Skateboarder causes $3,500 in damages at Charlotte County Catholic school

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A skateboarder caused over $3,500 in damages at a Charlotte County Catholic school. Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office deputies are trying to identify the skateboarder.
