COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A plane went down near Interstate 75 in Collier County, officials said. Two people were on board the single-engine plane that crashed two miles south of I-75 near mile marker 55, according to Greater Naples Fire Rescue officials. WATCH LIVE:
Rescue crews with the Greater Naples Fire Rescue, Collier County Sheriff’s Office and Collier County EMS responded to the crash. Both people inside the plane were taken away from the scene in a rescue helicopter. No injuries have been reported.

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Motorists in Charlotte County might notice some delays until June 23. Construction is happening in the southbound Kings Highway from Midway Boulevard to Olean Boulevard every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Warning signs for the construction will be posted, so plan ahead if you’re traveling through the area. The work being done will improve manholes in linear ponds. The road closure is necessary and will give the contractor safe access to the area.

IMMOKALEE, Fla. — The Immokalee Fire Control District is in the process of building a new facility. The new building will be on Useppa Drive in Ave Maria. It will house the fire rescue department as well as administrative employees. Rescue crews with Collier County EMS and the Collier County Sheriff’s Office will be able to share the space.
