HOMESTEAD, Fla. / NBC6 — Three people were killed and three others were injured in an early morning shooting near a major Miami-Dade military base on Monday. Shots were fired just before 2 a.m. inside an apartment complex near Southwest 126th Court and 282nd Street, close to the Homestead Air Reserve Base. Family loses everything in Golden Gate Estates house fire

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. — A fire destroyed a home in Golden Gate Estates and the family needs the community’s help to recover. The family lost everything when the raging flames engulfed their home on 6th Avenue Southeast around 11 p.m. on Friday. Late Sunday evening the National Hurricane Center issued its daily tropical weather outlook highlighting an area near Central America for possible development later in the week.
