CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A 57-year-old Cape Coral man died in a single-car crash on Diplomat Parkway east on Thursday, officials said. Officers with the Cape Coral Police Department arrived at the crash around 3:40 p.m. Humberto Munoz was speeding down Diplomat Parkway and was headed towards a curve in the road, a witness who saw the crash said. Cape Coral police warn of scammer offering to replace LCEC power meters

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A scammer claiming to represent “Atlantic Key Energy” has been going up to homeowners in Cape Coral. The Cape Coral Police Department said the scammer is targeting people in-person rather than over the phone. They have said to homeowners that Lee County Electric Cooperative will replace their power meter and install solar panels on their house within a month. Cyclist & SUV collide in Cape Coral

CAPE CORAL, Fla. — A SUV and a bicyclist crashed on SW 3rd Street in Cape Coral Wednesday morning. NBC2 crews arrived to the scene near Nicholas Parkway and saw an SUV and bicycle at the scene of the crash. Officers with the Cape Coral Police Department are investigating the crash. CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the parking lot of a Cape Coral grocery store on Friday. Cape Coral Police Department crash investigators said the 73-year-old driver of the car suffered a cardiac episode during the crash in the ALDI parking lot, 1481 SW Pine Island Road. CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A man was rushed to the hospital after flipping his SUV on Hancock Bridge Parkway Wednesday afternoon. The man was driving east on Hancock with a juvenile passenger when he went to change lanes, hitting a van, according to Cape Coral police. Police search for man who stole $700 at Cape Coral ATM

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Cape Coral police are searching for a man who used someone’s bank information to steal $700. The Cape Coral Police Department said the suspect used compromised bank information to steal from a victim using an ATM at Wells Fargo, 1608 Cape Coral Parkway West. Firework starts blaze in Cape Coral neighborhood

CAPE CORAL, Fla.– A lit firework was thrown from a vehicle driving in a Cape Coral neighborhood. K-9 Arca, who was recently laid to rest, served with CCPD from 2014-2020, according to the department.
