Deputies investigate early morning Port Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A car was shot at early Saturday morning on Fleetwood Drive and Joplin Avenue in Port Charlotte. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said they were investigating the shooting after it was reported around 4:40 a.m. in the Murdock area. A car was hit by bullets, and after talking with witnesses, Charlotte County deputies said they believe it was a directed incident. Citizens help remove people from flipped car on SR 82 in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. – One person was taken to the hospital after a rollover crash on SR 82 and Buckingham Road in Fort Myers on Saturday. The Fort Myers Police Department said traffic was down to one lane on SR-82 north. Officers said no one was seriously injured, but one was taken to the hospital. At least three cars were involved in the crash. Citizens stopped to help lift the car that flipped on SR 82 to help everyone get out of the car, according to Fort Myers police.
