LONG ISLAND, New York / CNN — Police on Long Island are looking for whoever is responsible for vandalizing a mosque, burning a sacred flag and spray painting pro-Trump graffiti on it’s marble base. It happened around 2 a.m. Monday at the Islamic Center of Suffolk County on 3rd Street in Brentwood. SARASOTA, Fla. — Detectives are looking into a suspected home invasion attempt that happened on Monday in Sarasota. Around 4:30 p.m., a resident of West Royal Flamingo Drive said they saw a man wearing a baseball hat, mask, and a white long-sleeved shirt carrying a walkie-talkie. Man steals credit card, spends $1,400 in Lee County stores

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. – A man stole someone’s credit card and spent over $1,400 at a local gas station and Walmart on Wednesday. Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said they are looking for the man involved in the credit card fraud and grant theft case. The suspect stole the victim’s credit card at an Olive Garden in Cape Coral. Crime Stoppers said fraudulent transactions were made at RaceTrac in North Fort Myers and the Walmart on Lee Boulevard in Lehigh Acres. VIDEO: Police chase 17-year-old hit and run suspect through the woods

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Just minutes after a 6:30 a.m. crash in Daytona Beach on Wednesday, a teen got out of his car and took off down the road on foot, leaving the other driver at the scene, police said. The Daytona Beach Police Department Aviation Unit quickly launched two drones, as ground units and K9s went in search of the hit and run suspect. Dump truck thief dies after leading deputies on chase in Immokalee

IMMOKALEE Fla. – The driver of a stolen dump truck is dead after leading deputies on a chase on State Road 29 in Immokalee Wednesday. OCALA, Fla. (AP)–A Florida couple plead guilty to using treats to entice black bears then allowed packs of dogs to attack them, recording the gruesome incidents and posting them on social media. Charles Scarbrough plead guilty to conspiracy to commit racketeering, animal baiting and fighting, unlawful use of a two-way communicating device and unlawful taking of a black bear, as reported by the AP. 14 large lizards worth $35K stolen from Punta Gorda reptile breeding facility

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Fourteen large lizards were stolen from a Punta Gorda reptile facility on Monday night, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The lizards, called tegus, were stolen between 11:15 p.m. – 11:35 p.m. and are worth around $35,000 combined, said Jesse Hardin, the owner of Jesse’s Jungle. Some of the reptiles measure up to 5-feet in length, like Hellboy, who is 56 inches long. Body of missing teen found in Miami, police suspect foul play

MIAMI, Fla. [NBC6] – Police are investigating a death after the body of a missing 16-year-old girl was found on Sunday evening. Family members identified the teen as Dayana Gomez Sanchez. City of Miami police officers were dispatched at around 5:20 p.m. to the 1200 block of Northeast 79th Street, near Pelican Harbor Marina, where they found the body.
