CLEWISTON, Fla. – A person was seen approaching multiple Clewiston homes in the overnight hours of May 12 and 13. Now, the Clewiston Police Department is trying to identify the suspect. These incidents happened within the confines of East Avenida del Rio, North San Diego Street, North San Gabriel Street, and East Sugarland Highway. Lee County deputies search for missing Lehigh Acres man

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Lee County deputies are searching a missing Lehigh Acres man. Rastislav Havlic was last seen at his home wearing a grey tank top, blue basketball shorts, glasses, and Jordan sliders, according to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. He was driving his black 2015 Ford Edge bearing a license plate number HTER38. Havlic could be heading north on I-75 to the Tampa area, Lee County deputies said. One dead after work accident in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – One person is dead after a mower fell on top of a person in the 700 block of Logan Boulevard North in Collier County. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accidental death that was reported around 2:37 p.m. Saturday. The mower fell on the person while they were changing the lade, according to Collier County deputies. Witnesses said the house was taped off as deputies investigated the incident. Store owner dead after shooting in Arcadia

ARCADIA, Fla. – Residents in an Arcadia neighborhood are looking over their shoulders after a shooting leaves a corner store owner dead. Neighbors said the shooting happened at the Fiesta Food Mart on Magnolia Street around 2:30 p.m. on Friday. A suspect went into the store shooting and killing the store’s owner, Saleh Ahmed, who was working at the time, according to neighbors. Deputies investigate early morning Port Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A car was shot at early Saturday morning on Fleetwood Drive and Joplin Avenue in Port Charlotte. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said they were investigating the shooting after it was reported around 4:40 a.m. in the Murdock area. A car was hit by bullets, and after talking with witnesses, Charlotte County deputies said they believe it was a directed incident. Citizens help remove people from flipped car on SR 82 in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. – One person was taken to the hospital after a rollover crash on SR 82 and Buckingham Road in Fort Myers on Saturday. The Fort Myers Police Department said traffic was down to one lane on SR-82 north. Officers said no one was seriously injured, but one was taken to the hospital. LEHIGH ACRES, Fla.– A gator made itself at home at a Lehigh Acres community on Friday.  The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission got a call after the four-foot gator made its way from under a car to the back porch of a home.  “I was actually just looking out my back porch and I seen him walking across the yard and I was like ‘Oh, that’s a gator,’” said Mackenzie Marinell. Diocese of Venice in Florida will no longer require masks at Mass

SOUTHWEST, Fla.– The Diocese of Venice in Florida announced a change to it’s mask policy on Friday. Masks and social distancing are no longer mandatory during mass. They are also not required at Parish activities or gatherings. “Masks remain encouraged and certainly permitted, particularly for those who are not yet vaccinated,” said Bishop Frank J. North Collier crews respond to car fire at LaPlaya Beach Club

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla.– North Collier crews responded to a car fire on Friday afternoon. Around 5:30 pm, crews arrived to a car fire at the LaPlaya Beach Club on Gulfshore Drive. Staff at the resort tried to put the fire out themselves by using two fire extinguishers. According to officials, the flames were put out quickly once fire crews arrived.
