Man in custody after shooting at Charlotte County RV park

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A man is in custody after a shooting at a Charlotte County RV park early Saturday morning. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said James W. Grisham was placed in cuffs after they responded to the shooting at Harbor Lakes RV Resort, 3737 El Jobean Road. The gunshot call came in at 12:06 a.m. Two citizens in the RV park who saw Grisham with a gun held him down until Charlotte County deputies arrived on scene. Red tide loses intensity as it lingers off SWFL’s coast

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Red tide is lingering off the Southwest Florida coast, but the toxic water is losing intensity.  The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has reported low to medium concentrations from Collier County north to Charlotte County. Earlier this week, they tested and found high concentrations of red tide near Bonita Beach. Right now, very low amounts are surrounding the Sanibel Causeway and Lighthouse Beach. FORT MYERS, Fla. – The construction industry is sounding the alarm that it is in the grips of a worker shortage.  The matter is so serious that some companies are turning away work because they can’t meet the demand. COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – New bodycam footage from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office shows the lifesaving efforts of good samaritans, deputies, and EMS. Over 3,000 seniors graduate in-person in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – Over 3,000 seniors across eight Collier County Public Schools graduated at in-person ceremonies Friday morning. Each student was given four tickets, two for floor seating, the other two on bleachers. This year, ceremonies for all eight schools were also streamed online. Man dies after construction accident at Charlotte County marina

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. – A 53-year old man died after a construction accident Friday morning off of Boca Grande Causeway in Charlotte County. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they were conducting a death investigation after the incident around 9:25 a.m. at Eldred’s Marina, 6301 Boca Grande Causeway. Plane makes emergency landing on Florida beach

PALM BEACH, Fla. – A small plane made an emergency landing on a beach in Florida Friday afternoon. The Palm Beach Police Department said the plane landed at about 3:33 p.m. in the 1400 block of North Ocean Boulevard in the Town of Palm Beach. No injuries were reported, and there are no current public safety concerns. Police officers are on scene in the area coordinating investigative and aircraft removal concerns. Man having medical episode hits & kills woman in Cape parking lot

CAPE CORAL, Fla. – A pedestrian died after being hit by a car in the parking lot of a Cape Coral grocery store on Friday. Cape Coral Police Department crash investigators said the 73-year-old driver of the car suffered a cardiac episode during the crash in the ALDI parking lot, 1481 SW Pine Island Road.
